Following Public Health England and government advice, we have re-instated the need to wear face-masks until the end of the Autumn Term in the first instance.

The face-masks should be worn in communal areas including corridors, canteen queues, assemblies, and communal classrooms.

Additionally, they should be worn on all public transport.

Those students who are exempt from wearing a face-mask should get a parental note in their planner or collect a sticker from Student Support to stick into the planner.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We are following government advice and would ask parents to make arrangements for their child to have a face-mask – and a spare in their bag – to wear by Monday 6 December. It would also be helpful to direct your child to wear their face-mask appropriately. We are aware that other local schools are closing down Year groups due to staffing shortages and if this measure helps prevent this then it is in every family’s interest to chip in where they can.”
