It’s that time of year when we launch our Friary PTFA Christmas Raffle and try to raise extra funds for school projects to be launched over the next year.

Following the success of last year’s ‘virtual’ Christmas raffle we will again be running our fundraiser as a text raffle. All you need to do is text keyword: FRIARY21 to the number: 70970 and you will automatically be entered into our prize draw. Each text makes a £5 donation to our raffle and entitles you to one entry. You can text as many times as you like to make extra entries. The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 15th December and prize winners will be notified before the end of term.

Prizes this year include:

Xbox Series S with 3 month games pass

A case of white wine worth £140

Cookware to the value of £250

Arthur Price Cutlery Set

A £25 meal voucher for The Bilash in Fradley

Cocktail set including a bottle of gin and a bottle of rum

Bottle of Whiskey

A £75 Beauty Gift Set

Coffee gift set worth £50 from Coffee Unity

A bottle of Champagne from Groucott Moor Accounting in Lichfield

and more…

Normally, our PTFA work hard to put on a range of fundraising events across the school year including: THE PTFA Quiz, Octoberfest and running the bars at the school productions. These fundraising events bring parents and staff together and help to raise funds for projects that directly impact on our pupils. In recent years, we have been able to pay for our much needed canteen extension with the funds raised by you and our PTFA. This year we are raising funds to help finance the refurbishment of our 300 seat theatre as well as for more seating for pupils to use outdoors.

I hope you will take up this opportunity to support our school and your child by entering our Christmas Raffle 2021. You are also able to share the text details with family and friends who wish to have the opportunity to support our school and have a chance to win one of our fantastic prizes.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher said: “ We are always very grateful for the support this raffle generates. It always helps us to raise funds for school projects that directly impact the pupils. We are hoping the simpler and much faster text raffle will make it easier for people to get involved “
