Following last year’s hiatus, Lichfield’s Christmas Tree Festival has been able to return at the cathedral during the festive period. Students from the Friary School have worked their creative magic to help design a variety of decorations that have now adorn the Friary’s own tree, which stands in the cathedral for visitors to see. The festival will run from Saturday 27 November 2021 – Sunday 2 January 2022, where a number of local businesses, charities and schools have participated in decorating a tree of their own as part of the cathedral’s competition.
Sarah Phillips, Head of Sixth Form, said, ‘we’re delighted that students have been able to take part again this year. In the busy run up to the end of the winter term, this festival presents students with a great opportunity to engage with the community whilst also getting into the Christmas spirit!”
