It has been fantastic to see such high turn-out rates to our PE extra-curricular activities as students shake off those COVID cobwebs.
In order to maintain this high level of interest, we are adapting our provision to adjust for the darker evenings
Consequently, PE have made a few changes to the extra-curricular activities they offer after school. Football (except Year 7), rugby, badminton and netball have been postponed until next term and hockey, handball, basketball and dodgeball will all now run until Christmas.
The new schedule is available on tutor noticeboards but you can also view the new schedule here.
Jamie Sleigh, PE teacher, said: “It is important for us as PE staff to ensure we are offering a wide range of sports to all pupils at The Friary. Adding Handball (Tuesday) and Basketball (Thursday) will give students a great opportunity to further their knowledge and skills of these sports as we look towards tournaments in January.”
