This week is the all-important Year 13 mock exam week. Students have been revising incredibly hard during both guided learning and home study sessions to practise past papers in preparation for these mocks. Year 13 are on study leave this week and so will only be in school for their mock exams, with a few exceptions for those students who are continuing to work through coursework units in some BTEC subjects. These mocks will give students the opportunity to sit through an exam experience, apply what they know and show how very capable they are. In addition, the outcomes of these mocks will help to inform teachers of how students are progressing in each of their subjects at this point in the year.

Head of Sixth Form, Sarah Phillips, said: ‘This cohort have worked exceptionally hard to maintain a fantastic work ethic throughout their Sixth Form education so far; they adapted fantastically to virtual learning earlier on this year and since returning to school full-time have made great steps towards reaching their target grades by making the most of all the opportunities in school to secure and strengthen their subject knowledge. We wish all Year 13 students the very best of luck in their mock exams this week and encourage them to keep up the great work in order to reach their destinations after life in the Sixth Form.’
