We are delighted to have launched the Industrial Cadets Gold Award with a team from Year 12 in our school.

The Industrial Cadets Award is a national industry-led accreditation designed to enhance workplace experiences for young people.

Industrial Cadets works with UK employers to create a talent pipeline and a future skilled workforce, whilst helping young people to develop the skills they need to enter industry with confidence.

It is run by the Engineering Development Trust and inspired by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.

Simon Awbery, Science teacher and scheme leader, said: “Our team will be developing a solution to a real world engineering problem with their mentor from Eaton Electrical Systems, Paul Arthur, and are really looking forward to the programme. Our school places a great emphasis on readiness for work and working life and this project builds on the numerous other initiatives.”
