The last week of term brought in a report conducted by Lichfield District Council based on the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme and our canteen, led by Catering Manager Jennie Freeman-Whyte, scored a top rated 5* award for provision.
The canteen caters for well over 1,000 people daily from first thing in the morning and with diverse rules on school dinners, Free School Meals provision and COVID regulations the year has been a real challenge.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We have a fantastic team in the canteen led by Jennie and we are delighted they scored the top rating. We know they take great pride in what they do so this award is only a reflection of their daily professionalism and commitment.”
