Amongst a lot of great work Lichfield City FC do, they run a string of girls’ sides who train mid-week and play at the weekend. They are always looking for new players and are very welcoming.
The Girls Under 12s are currently on the look-out for a goalkeeper – and with qualified coaches there is a great capacity to make real strides in the game – and they (and all girls teams) are interested in more girls signing up across the positions.
The Under 12s train every Monday between 6.00-7.00pm and play their home games on Saturday mornings at Beacon Park. They play in the Premier Division of the Central Warwickshire Girls League.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Knowing the football club, I would, recommend any girls (and boys) to consider getting involved as there are some superbly committed coaches down there. Most importantly, if we have a budding U12 goalkeeper then make contact now – we have lots of other girls in the school involved, including a fantastic goalie, and I know they get a great deal out of it.”
