We are flagging up our music tuition for 2021-2022 to encourage as many students as possible to get involve and take up an instrument. Unwontedly, developing your music skills helps in lots of different ways; whether it be building up a musical skill-set to adding to wider subject skills, supporting ones sense of well-being and personal achievement or making new friends and taking up new opportunities.
There are different levels of costing depending on individual context but we do ask for all interested parties sign up by Friday 9 July 2021 at the latest so that we can book in external tutors for the year ahead.
Key pointers are that lessons are during the school day, are vital to take on GCSE or A-Level Music, bring opportunities to take part in schools shows and concerts, and are heavily subsidised at all levels.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We would encourage any student with an interest in music to consider taking on lessons and investing the time and effort into developing their talent. Music is something that stays with us as we move into adult life and hard work and perseverance now will bring an outlet for enjoyment and fun that lasts a lifetime.”
