As part of our Recovery Curriculum, we are keen to give Year 8 students and opportunity to mingle and form new friendships and our Year 8 Gardening Club offers the chance to do just this.

The group meet on Tuesdays between 3.05-4.05pm in F1.

This week saw the team plant their first set of seeds and only adds to our commitment to promote environmentalism reflected in us attaining our Eco School Award.

Luke Baker, Assistant Headteacher, said: “Teaching children about the cycle of growth through planting food is a fantastic life experience and teaches children so much about sustainability, the environment, as well as the importance of care and nurture. We are delighted this group has been set up.”
