The School Age Immunisation Team will be visiting The Friary on Tuesday 20th April 2021 to give the second dose of the HPV vaccine to girls in Year 10.

This vaccination will be the second and final dose of HPV, which you will have already given consent for.

If your daughter has not already received her HPV1, and you wish her to do so please contact the School Age Immunisation team in advance on 0300 124 0366.

Information regarding this vaccination can be found at:

If you are unsure whether your daughter/young person is fit enough to have this immunisation, please contact the Immunisation Team prior to the immunisation. A nurse will also discuss the vaccination with your daughters on the day.

If your child is absent or ill on the day of a vaccination a follow-up appointment can be arranged by contacting the School Age Immunisation Team on 0300 124 0366.

If your daughter has received this immunisation from your GP, before the above date, please contact the School Age Immunisation team at school.Immunisation@mpft.nhs.uk or telephone 0300 124 0366 as it is not necessary for it to be given again.

Luke Baker, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We work very closely with the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust to ensure that our students receive all appropriate vaccinations. We are always happy to liaise with parents who have any concerns or queries. Girls and boys currently in Years 8 and 9 can expect to receive their second dose of the HPV vaccine in the summer term.”
