World Book Day is a celebration of books and shared reading. The mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. But World Book Day is also a celebration of all types of writing. Due to the current restrictions, we will be celebrating World Book Day online this year. However, we still have a number of exciting events taking place for you to get involved in!
One of the activities is our World Book Day Quiz so why not test your book knowledge by entering the World Book Day quiz via the link below and be in with a chance of winning a National Book token?
Simon Daniels, Head of English, said: “Lockdown or not, World Book Day is well worth celebrating and we are excited that we have a wide range of activities both in school and across our Multi-Schools Trust. We know that that reading and writing will be core skills which will inevitably suffer in lockdown so this week is a great chance to re-launch them both as we head back into the classrooms.”
