As we start the New Year we find ourselves back at home in a national lockdown and although we are now more used to how this works for each of us, it is still vitally important that we  look after our wellbeing in order to get through it!

January is well known as an opportunity to set new year resolutions or to make positive changes to the way we live, but for some, the dark nights and the quiet after a busy festive season can have a serious impact on our wellbeing.  Double this up with a national lockdown and we can all feel there is work to be done so that we stay fit, healthy and happy.

Working from home, remote learning, not being able to see your friends or participate in your favourite activities can make us feel like there is little to look forward to. It’s important we take a look at our day to day lives and try to make any small changes we can to give us the best chance of staying happy during this difficult time.

Evidence suggests there are 5 steps you can take to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Trying these things could help you feel more positive and able to get the most out of life.

During the course of this week, we will be posting some information about each of the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ and we hope that you will take a look at some of the suggestions and advice.  Just the smallest changes to your lifestyle can make a huge difference to how we feel, so why not give some a try.
