The Year 11 students from Darwin, Johnson, Garrick and Seward went head to head in a recent debate for International Men’s Day. The standard of competition was extremely high, with Darwin House coming out as the overall winner.
The Darwin stars standing out were Emily Turner (House Captain & Most Valuable Debater) and Evie Hulme – not least because their overall team was depleted by COVID absences.
Alex Britton, Head of Darwin House, said: “The year 11 students acquitted themselves exceptionally well. They all planned a very thorough argument and the standard of competition was excellent. I wouldn’t want to come across any of these students in a debate any time soon.”
