We place a huge emphasis on reading at our school and the English Department have been incentivising reading through their rewards programme.
Almost 100 students signed up for the scheme and simply log their reading minutes on the scheme’s app as they go before claiming reading rewards as they log the time.
The rewards include:
Bronze = certificate, bookmark and 10 house points.
Silver = certificate, 20 house points and a pass to go to the front of the lunch queue.
Bigger prizes are up for grabs for Gold and Platinum winners!
The X-Half pace-setters were Harry Elson – Bronze & Silver, Archie Kennedy – Bronze, Starlla Carr – Bronze, and Molly Yates – Bronze & Silver.
The Y-Half leaders were Madison Vigus – Bronze, Katie Sandel – Bronze & Silver, Phoebe Jones – Bronze, and Rosie Walker – Bronze & Silver.
Suzanne Fayed, scheme leader, said: “We are delighted with the efforts of our Year 7s and their progress has been fantastic. We are looking forward to seeing more rewards earned throughout the school year.”
