It’s that time of year when we launch our Friary PTFA Christmas Raffle and try to raise extra funds for school projects to be launched over the next year.
In previous years we have issued each child with two books of raffle tickets to sell, this year however, we are going ‘virtual’ and our Christmas raffle will be a text raffle. All you need to do is text keyword: Friary to the number: 70970 and you will automatically be entered into our prize draw. Each text makes a £5 donation to our raffle and entitles you to one entry. You can text as many times as you like to make extra entries. The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 16th December and prize winners will be notified before the end of term.
Prizes this year include an LG UHD TV, Arthur Price ‘Concerto’ cutlery set, Christmas hamper as well as a box of wine, bottle of gin, Champagne, bottle of Bailey’s, £25 voucher for ‘Cycling 2000’ in Lichfield, cookery books and more.
Normally, our PTFA work hard to put on a range of fundraising events across the school year including: wine tasting evenings, THE PTFA Quiz, Octoberfest and running the bars at the school productions. These fundraising events bring parents and staff together and help to raise funds for projects that directly impact on our pupils. This year, we have been able to pay for our much needed canteen extension with funds raised by you and our PTFA.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 we have been unable to put on many of the usual fundraising events so our Christmas raffle is more important than ever. We hope you will be able to help and take part.
Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher said; “ We are so lucky to have such an active PTFA here at The Friary. We’ve been so disappointed that we have not been able to get people together and put on our usual range of fundraising events. We’re really hoping that everyone can get behind the Christmas prize draw and will appreciate our more straightforward and hi-tech way to enter”
