Non-Uniform Day – Friday 4 December

We will be holding our termly Non-Uniform Day on Friday 4 December and will be asking for £1 donations from students – payable on the day or via Parent Pay.

All monies raised will be split between our PTFA and our House charities which all serve our local community; Ie – Darwin (Acorns Hospice), Garrick (Lichfield Food Bank), Johnson (St Giles Hospice) and Seward (Midland Air Ambulance).

Elsewhere, the monies are all totted up so there is an overall annual winner of the House Charity Trophy which goes to the House which raises the most funds through the year; whether it be through non-uniform days, House Weeks, or students taking the initiative to run their own events at other times.

Any students wearing PE kit that day have the flexibility to wear a non-uniform PE kit which offers some freedom and choice, but it does need to be practical enough to partake in the lesson.

Luke Baker, Assistant Headteacher, said: “It is great to present our cheques to our local charities as we know that our students, staff and families are supporting the very organisations that many of us turn to in our hours’ of need. It is part of our job to teach about responsibility and care for others and doing this through a fund day is a win-win.”
