Y11 Hospitality & Catering students have been developing their preparation, cooking and plating-up skills as they head into the last few months before their practical exams in February 2021.
Today saw the first of two challenges that required teams to work together to create the dish of day: Pan fried fish and Sauté Spinach and Ratatouille’
This recipe has been developed from the ‘Fish In School Hero Programme’ that aims to ensure that every child gets a chance to prepare, cook and eat fish before they leave school.
Angie Brough, subject teacher, said; “We tie into national events and programmes whenever we can and any project that pushes a healthy eating theme is a welcome addition. The students did a fantastic job and have certainly broadened their experiences in readiness for their practical assignments.”
