Y12 students took part in an Employability Workshop as part of our Raising Aspirations Programme.

The sessions included information from a professional who came to talk about employability skills and interview skills including talking about jobs, careers and first impressions.

The interactive session was designed to ensure every student is prepped and ready to go when it comes to university, apprenticeship or job interviews.

We were delighted to receive great feedback from the students about the session:

“Very informative content about the correct pathway to make a good impression in an interview.”

“I found the skills, interview preparation, work experience, company knowledge and personal employability action plan beneficial. I can use the skills explained today to improve my future experiences.”

Faye Banks, Careers and Aspirations Mentor, said: “Our Sixth Form students are all the better prepared for working life through todays employability workshop. The ambassador from Ask Apprenticeships was superb, she formed great rapport with the students, and passed on her expertise swiftly. All in all, a fantastic session.”
