We will begin our Results Day on Thursday 20 August at 9.00am but would ask students to arrive at the side entrance of the Sports Hall (opposite the library) to the following schedule:
Darwin House Students 9.00am
Garrick House Students 9.15am
Johnson House Students 9.30am
Seward House Students 9.45am
This staggered arrival is in order to facilitate social distancing and will be accompanied by pre-arranged envelopes in small alphabetical batches distributed via distanced stations within the sports hall. Any students who turn up early will simply be required to wait outside.
Due to COVID-related arrangements, only students will be given access to the sports hall. Students will need to sign for their results – so need to bring their own pen – and must exit promptly after checking out their results.
The Leavers’ hoodies will also be available for collection at this point.
Offers for places in the Sixth Form were made based on staff predictions earlier in the year; however, if any students do have additional questions about the Sixth Form, or require Post-16 support relating to other routes of study, the Sixth Form team will be on hand in the Post-Results Advice Clinics at the following times below:
Thursday 20th August 9.00am to 10.30am in the Sports Hall
Thursday 20th August 11.00am – 1.00pm in the Oliver Room (by appointment only)
Tuesday 1st September 2.05pm – 3.05pm in the Sixth Form Centre (by appointment only)
Appointments can be made for the afternoon session directly with Mrs Stubbs on Results Day in the Sports Hall or via sixthform@friaryschool.co.uk. However, please do not seek to make an appointment before you receive your results.
Sam Sullivan, Assistant Headteacher, said: “This will be a very different Results Day for all of us but we remain committed to helping our students to take their next steps in life wherever that may be.”
