If you have agreed for your child to take part, Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of March, then each form will be riding bikes around Lichfield and being taught road safety in a 2 ½ hour session.
The sessions are running as following:
Tuesday 10th March (9.30-12.00) – 7D1
Tuesday 10th March (12.45-15.15) – 7D2
Wednesday 11th March (9.30-12.00) – 7J1
Wednesday 11th March (12.45-15.15) – 7G2
Thursday 12th March (9.30-12.00) – 7G1
Thursday 12th March (12.45-15.15) – 7S1
Friday 13th March (9.30 – 12.00) – 7J2
Friday 13th March (12.45 – 15.15) – 7S2
This has been announced in assemblies, text messages have been sent home and form tutors have informed the pupils. If your child misses their slot for any reason, you will unfortunately not be able to take part on a different day.
Every child will be provided with a bike and helmet. If your child wishes to bring their own they can however, they must have a lock to secure it to the bike shed, when not in use. The safety and reliability of their own bike would rest with you as a parent.
Anyone who has specified their child has asthma MUST have an inhaler; otherwise they will not be allowed to take part.
Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Students may wear own clothes on the day however they must be appropriate for sports (Ie – tracksuit bottoms / trainers / sports top / jacket – NO JEANS). It will likely be cold so we would recommend waterproofs, gloves and a coat ! We would also recommend bringing a spare change of clothes to change into in case it rains because they will still be expected to stay out to complete the course.
If your child has opted out of this experience, they will attend lessons as normal, in school uniform.
