Our Student Council are leading our campaign to be awarded the Green Flag Status as an Eco-School as we work to improve our environmental record and to allow our student leaders to lead the rest of the school in this excellent initiative.
The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning. You can work up to Green Flag level by achieving Bronze and Silver awards which are self-accredited stepping stones along the way.
The Student council have a 7-step process to work through to reach the top award and are already well on their way.
Luke Baker, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are very excited that our Student Council have taken this on and their efforts very much fit into the environmental spirit of the youth of our time. We are going to work to improve the school’s actions to help this award and back our students every step of the way”.
