The Friary School continued its partnership with the ‘We Love Lichfield’ fundraising group through the school choir performing at their ‘Christmas Giveaway’ just before the Xmas Break.
‘We Love Lichfield’ is a local fund that provides small grants to a wide range of projects based in Lichfield District. The fund considers all applications from local groups in need twice a year and makes a real difference to the lives of those in our local community.
This special event saw out students accompanied by recipient voluntary civic leaders, businesses and other guests to the event in Lichfield’s George Hotel
Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “This is a fantastic event and it was wonderful to learn how each of the groups benefit from the fund. As a school, like ‘We Love Lichfield’, we focus our fund-raising on local charities, and our students enjoyed the chance to sing before such a celebrated local audience.”
