Darwin House Week was a fantastic success as students worked together as a House to raise funds for Acorns Hospice.
The week saw cookie-making, gingerbread decorating, cake sales, and any number of fund-raising items.
There were also movie sessions, Teacher Auctions and a Xmas Jumper Day and the House leaders seemed to be a blur as they whizzed from venue to venue and event to event with crowds in pursuit.
Alex Britton, Head of Darwin House, said: “It has been a fantastic week and it has been wonderful to see so many students and staff pitch in together to work for our local charity. School is about lessons, but also about skills for life and supporting one another, and our House Weeks are a clear calling to arms for each House to do just that”.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “Garrick House was first out the blocks and was superb – now it looks like Darwin has done likewise. Fun, responsibility and taking a lead – that is what our House Weeks are about – and Darwin students have been excellent.”
