Our Year 9 Girls took their turn in the girl 6 a-side football regional tournaments with this one staged at Cheslyn Hay.
Despite freezing conditions, the girls put in a string of excellent performances and they came out overall winners.
The four matches brought straight wins of 4-0, 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1 with the goalscorers being Emilly Beddow (5), Ffion Wynne and Isobel Allman (1).
Jamie Sleigh, PE teacher and team coach, said: “The girls went unbeaten throughout and against some tough teams this was an excellent achievement.”
Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “The team was largely made up of members of the Lichfield City age group team and the coaching there only added to this fantastic school performance.”
