Our Sixth Form charity reps are running a shoe box appeal as part of their commitment to the school Interact Group.

They will be visiting tutor groups the week after half term to raise awareness of the appeal and letters will be going home to parents.

All completed boxes earn the respective House 100 House Points which go towards the House Cup and the Rewards Day prize.

Each of the Houses have been asked to collect in the following items:

Darwin House

Boxes for Households

Hand soap, toothpaste and brushes, envelopes, letter paper, biro pens, etc. Toys – since these boxes can be used for birthday gifts from the parents. This box is also good for older folk, especially if a warm scarf or a pair of gloves is included.
Garrick House

Boxes for Babies

Given to new mothers and can include baby wipes, cotton wool buds, baby shampoo, baby oil, talc powder, bonnet, bootees and mitts, baby grows, knitted matinee coat, small soft toy or plastic rattle, etc. (Age up to 12 months).
Johnson House

Boxes for Children

Toys such as ‘Matchbox’-type toy cars, small bouncy balls, jigsaws, fluffy toys, dolls, colouring books, colouring pencils, felt tip pens, Lego, yoyos, bubble blow, etc.
Seward House

Boxes for Teenagers

Make-up, toiletries, sportswear, scarf, gloves, hat, writing materials, non-flammable deodorants, comb, mirror, football memorabilia, etc.

Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The Sixth Form team in the Interact Club work alongside Lichfield St Chad Rotary in raising funds for good causes at home and overseas. Any donations from students – and every item helps – would be hugely appreciated.”
