The Admission Code of Practice (2012) requires an Admissions Authority to consult each time it proposes to make changes to its admission arrangements.
Consequently, the Governing Body of The Friary School, as part of the Greywood Multi-Schools Trust, are consulting on our admission arrangements for 2021-2022.
The proposed admission arrangements would see our school embed closer with our Trust partners, by providing for a continuity in provision from Reception up to Sixth Form, correlating with our Trust commitment to education and support from entry to 25 years of age. Elsewhere, the proposals look to maintain high quality teaching across the Trust through the recruitment and retention of outstanding classroom and education practitioners.
The proposed admissions policy is attached here and the potential changes meet these objectives whilst also maintaining our commitment to the community and catchment we serve.
The proposed admission arrangements and consultation details are available on our school website. The consultation will take place for a minimum of 6 term-time weeks between Friday 25 October 2019 to Monday 16th December 2019.
If you would like to comment on the proposed admission arrangements then please do so by one of the following methods:
1. Email admissionsconsultation@friaryschool.co.uk
2. Write to Mr M Allman, Headteacher, The Friary School, Eastern Avenue, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 7EW
Your views on the proposed admission arrangements will be sent to our Governing Body and the Trustees of the Greywood Multi-Schools Trust and will be carefully considered before any final decisions are made.
