Kevin Wilcox, Road Safety Officer from Staffordshire County Council, came in to deliver a session all about safe driving to Y13s who are about to hit a road near you.

The session outlined key lessons, experience and examples that could take forward in their lessons and was very much part of the wider support we seek to give our Sixth Formers as they branch out in the wider world.

Sarah Cresswell, Head of Sixth Form, said: “With many of our Y13 pupils now learning to drive, it was great to have Kevin reiterate the importance of being a responsible and careful driver. Students were really surprised by some of the statistics that Kevin revealed about the consequences of careless driving and as a result, were prompted to consider ways in which they can ensure they stay safe on the roads. It was a valuable and insightful morning for all involved.”
