The first of our House Weeks saw Garrick House take centre stage as they held court to raise funds for Lichfield Foodbank.
The week saw cake sales, film showings, guess the sweets in the jar, Soak the Teacher, a 6-a-side competition, and much more besides.
There was also a food collection which was transported down to Lichfield Foodbank.
Certainly, in a wider school week celebrating World Smile Day, Garrick brought a great deal of fun for a vital local cause.
Steve Cartner, Head of Garrick House, said: “We put a lot of work in but all of Garrick staff and students pulled together to make a real difference. We are delighted with the collections and wish to thank everyone who has contributed.”
Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “We are a school who very much puts our energies into our home community and Garrick House have pulled out all the stops. This is just the first of four local fundraisers and I know the other three Houses are itching to make their mark. The students appreciate the value of the foodbank and were keen to make a difference to the lives of those who live in our local area.”
