The Year 7 boys football trials are always a big event and we had approaching 40 students try out for the 1st team squad over the past couple of weeks.
This got whittled down to a 13 – though all boys can come to training sessions – and their first match saw a 7-1 victory against Nether Stowe. Evan Wynne starred with 4 goals, and Riley Preece-Jones, Oliver Mantle and Alfie Mitchell all got on the score sheet.
The boys conceded an early goal but came out fighting as they dusted themselves off, played some excellent football and scored some outstanding goals.
