Following interest from parents, we would like to flag up the Rocky Road Parent Group which is a newly developed local group for parents and carers.
Sessions are parent-led, professionally supported and free – they are then followed by tea, cake, and time for questions.
The first themes are ‘The Teenage Brain & Emotions’ (22 October) and ‘Managing Stress’ (17 December).
Luke Baker, Assistant Headteacher, said: “This support groups has been flagged to us through our close relationship with CAMHS and, knowing that some parents felt the other daytime sessions we had flagged up were difficult to fit with work, we were keen to flag this up promptly. Hopefully, these evening sessions will offer support as bringing up teenagers can sometimes be a challenge.”
