The final week of the Summer Term saw Year 12 students engage in work placements which stretched across the country and even overseas.
The work experience at this stage gives students the opportunity for higher quality placements, can be tied into preferred career and skill routes, and even dovetail into the summer break.
There were a wide range of fantastic placements which included:
- Declan Mann – Tandem Studios in Seehausen, Germany
- Sophie Briggs – University Hospital in Derby & Burton NHS Trust
- Joe Gomes – Police Mutual
- Olivia David – Placement on a French Exchange programme
Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The students have seized some fantastic opportunities and are benefitting from real insights into the world of work. These experiences will be integral to post-school applications and further motivate and hone personal goals and directions.”
