The school will be closing early on the final day of term, Friday 19 July, in order to allow for room clearance for the continued refurbishment that we have pursued in our summer holidays in terms of improving the school site.

This means the school will close at 12.00pm.

Students who require food – including those on Free School Meals – will be able to access the canteen during an extended break-time.

The School Transport team have confirmed that all buses will come early except for Route 36 to Stonnall although students can catch the service from Lichfield Bus Station at either 12.30pm or 2.00pm.

Elsewhere, those students who normally catch the 829 will have to catch the 825 on Stafford Road in order to head home early via public transport.

Any students who cannot make it home until the normal end of the day (3.05pm) can be accommodated with Mr Rose, Deputy Headteacher, and should report to the theatre in the first instant.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Ideally we would have a full day but with the decorators, builders and flooring contractors arriving on Monday we have to be in a position to make the most of the limited 6-week window we have. The works this summer will primarily focus on the English and Science areas, as well as outdoor roofing work and security projects.”
