The Summer Sizzler took place on a warm evening just over the Glastonbury weekend, and some of the songs that hit the headlines got an extra airing at our school too.
The performance had a tighter edge this year and the weightier ensembles ensure the quality went up too. The musical talent stretched from the fantastic new Year 6s up to old boys / girls who popped back in to chip in and perform.
Elsewhere, the PTFA were out in force with food and refreshments proving popular, and the wide range of stalls and attractions kept everyone busy.
Jon Hood, Head of Music, said: “We worked hard on our set-list so that there was a wide range of high quality tracks and the staff band played out Mr Cain’s final Sizzler in style.”
Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, added: “We were delighted that the discounted student tickets attracted even more numbers, but families again turned out in force and thrilled the performers as the got on stage to a large audience before them.”
