The Friary School Jazz Band headlined a host of performances from the local community as part of St Chads Church’s Summer Fayre, to help raise money for local charities and the surrounding area.

In addition to new members of the group, the band were also joined by the familiar faces of ex-students Jack Askew and Alex Miles.

To close the event, Mae and Milly Bennett also performed an acoustic set featuring a variety of summer hits to add to the festival vibe and the entire team were delighted to meet the Bishop of Lichfield as well.

Jon Hood, Head of Music, said: “We were thrilled to be invited to St Chad’s to perform and to support the local community. Our musicians love the chance to add to local events and this opportunity was simply too good to turn down.”
