We are very excited to announce our latest initiative and would like to invite you to support The Friary School lottery.
This lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference to our children.
It is a fantastic way to bring Parents, Carers, Teachers and the wider community together, in partnership with our school, and at the same time give something back. We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children- we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as continue to fund extra-curricular activities such as music, art and sport.
‘Your School Lottery’ create and run lotteries for UK schools and their goal is to help schools raise money through their local communities to improve educational facilities for their children.
Unlike other national scale lotteries, they operate at a local school level; so every penny of school profit raised comes straight back to our school (40%). The lottery costs £1 per week and there will be a winner in every school community each week, PLUS because of their scale, they are also able to provide a weekly £25,000 grand prize draw to all ticket holders from across the country !

Many schools across the country have started to run their own fund-raising lotteries in response to reduced school funding and our own PTFA believe ‘Your School Lottery’ is a real opportunity to help boost funds.
Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We have a very active Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) here at The Friary. This group consists of a dedicated team of people working together to put on fun and sociable events to help raise funds for our school. All of the money they raise goes towards making school a memorable experience for your children. Your support in this initiative will be greatly appreciated and we wish you good luck !”
Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “We are doing our very best with the limited funds we have but to keep improving and going the extra mile we need your support. We know not all parents can commit the time to support the PTFA but this lottery gives an easy route for any parent to sign up, do their bit, and support their child’s school. I’ve signed up, I hope you will too.”
