Y8 Geographers have been out and about in the local community over the last week as they take part in a local field-work project.
The students have been doing field sketches, environmental quality surveys and pedestrian and traffic counts.
This practical work is an early project to prepare students for the GCSE and A-Level field work that they will undertake.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We very much run a five-year curriculum so seek to build up the students to their formal exams in the long-term. The students have enjoyed the opportunity to develop their practical skills and the experience is all the better now the weather has taken a turn for the better. It is early days, but with Sixth Formers due to undertake field work in Naples later in the year, this is the first steps for great adventures to come.”
