Y12 students studying A-Levels in Sociology and Philosophy & Ethics enjoyed a fantastic trip to our capital city as part of developing their insight into political and parliamentary matters in relation to their courses.
The visit included tours of Parliament and the Palace of Westminster, a trip up the Millennium Wheel and a walking tour of the area.
Furthermore, the students enjoyed in a ‘Voting & Electoral Process’ workshop which included a talk by Baroness Berridge and student-led presentations.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Young people are taking a far more active role in politics so this trip very much chimed with the mood of the time. The students were excellent throughout the visit and got a lot out of what was a superb experience.”
