The second Music Feature Evening of the year took place last week, and it was the turn of our young vocalists to take to the stage to perform their ever-developing repertoire in front of friends and family in the school theatre.

The purpose of the feature events are to showcase the fantastic work performed in schools by our peripatetic staff and students who are having tuition on an instrument or voice.

With the event hosted by our vocal coach, James Maddison, this feature evening did not disappoint, with many standout performances from students including Beth Kingston’s performance of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked and Isabelle Keeling’s version of “Pulled” from The Addam’s Family.

The next feature evening will be taking place on 12th June at 7:30pm, and it will be the turn of students performing their repertoire on Flute, Saxophone, Strings and Brass.

Jason Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The event only highlighted the immense talent across the school and brought into the limelight students who had not performed in such a way at our school before. When talent departs at the top end of the school, there is always an immense thrill to see the new generation coming through.”
