To coincide with World Book Day earlier this month, our librarian, Mrs Cresswell, ran a competition called ‘Classics as Comics’ where students were asked to re-tell a classic tale in a comic format.
Students were given a week to complete their art work and some top quality entries were handed in.
The winning entry was ‘Alice in Wonderland’ by Eve Neenan (Y7) and she took home a set of coloured pencils and a box of chocolates.
Jason Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We were delighted when the competition was suggested and there were some lovely entries. Congratulations to Eve who really did an excellent job.”
