Garrick House Week brought a wide range of fun and engaging events which were designed to raise funds for the House charity of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

The week included a FIFA Gaming Competition, Sponsored Football and Basketball, a Sponsored Swim, a ‘Garrick’s Got Talent’ Show, a Harry Potter Quiz and a Chocolate Tombola. Steve Cartner, Head of Garrick House, said: “I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped out or taken part. We have raised hundreds of pounds for our charity again and the final figure will be in once all the money has been counted.”

Mark Drury, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The fund-raising element of House life is an important one – and the students get a lot out of working with local charities – but the House Week was also about Garrick taking centre stage and setting the agenda for the whole school. It has been a great week and the whole Garrick team – staff and students – deserve all the plaudits.”
