The PTFA have been doing an amazing job and the last two years have seen record levels of fund-raising which is all being ploughed into improving school facilities.

Their work has been supported by the students and parents who have been attending events like the Summer Sizzler, the school shows and Oktoberfest, as well as local businesses, like Arthur Price, chipping in their help too.

The most recent PTFA purchase arrived this week which is a new school minibus with Friary School branding emblazoned all over the side. The minibus provides transport for school events, fixtures, competitions, visits, residentials, and Sixth Form transfers.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We are so grateful to the PTFA for their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm and for making such a difference to the lives of all the children at the school. School budgets are simply falling short and it is the PTFA’s work that pays for those extras.”

Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, added: “The next event is the PTFA Quiz Night and we would welcome all teams to come along and support the school and the students by coming along. It is a really good night, is great fun, and has the added benefit of making a difference just like this one.”
