Sixth Form student, Felicity Carden, has been rewarded by the Lichfield Society of Artists for her creative talents by the offer of free membership of the Lichfield Society of Artists and the invitation to display an example of her artwork alongside members’ paintings at the society’s Spring Exhibition at Lichfield Guildhall on 23-24 March 2019.

The event is tied in with the Society’s 75th anniversary and is open to the public with free admission.

The Society’s Chair, Christine Taylor and Education Liaison, Sue Crudgington congratulated Felicity by presenting her with a certificate of merit and a voucher that will go towards the purchase of art and craft materials of Felicity’s choice. The purpose of this partnership initiative is not only to reward the achievements of individual students, but also to acknowledge the educational importance of subjects devoted to developing young people’s imaginations and artistic creativity.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We are fortunate in our city to have a range of community groups which support and inspire the talents of young people and the Lichfield Society of Artists is a fantastic example of this. We are thrilled for Felicity and look forward to seeing her work at the exhibition later in the year.”
