Last week saw the Year 8 & 10 netball teams play against Kingsmead School – one of the bigger and more talented local rivals.
Our Year 8 team scored a strong 13-3 victory and in a high-scoring game the Year 10s lost out 17-9.
Trudy Simkiss, PE teacher and team coach, said: “Both teams performed well with Elli Delaney (Y8) and Scarlett Roche-Allen (Y10) taking the ‘Player of the Match’ awards. Both sides have reason to be proud, and the Year 10s learnt to rue some injuries which took out some key players. Even so, Kingsmead are a tough team and the games were highly enjoyable.”
