Our Y11 students completed their practicals in their Vocational Award in Hospitality & Catering last week and came up with some real treats in their 3-course meals.

There was a wide range of foods which ranged across the starters, mains and desserts and included soups, pasta, fresh fish and steaks and an assortment of beautifully presented desserts.

All of the ingredients were fresh, everything was made-by-hand and the final dishes were formally presented as part of the assignment.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “It was a real treat to walk down to the Food Rooms as the aromas wafting down the corridor varied from day to day. There is something fantastic about presenting food as whilst you can be proud of a piece of written work there is something a little more impressive when the eyes, nose and mouth all get a sense of what has been produced. The students produced some fantastic dishes and deserve all the plaudits.”
