Year 13 students are now in the final straight for their UCAS forms and the Sixth Form team are working flat out to support the A-Level students in making sure their university application forms are as strong as they can be.
There have been sessions, support classes, use of exemplars and refinements – but fortunately a lot of our Sixth Formers already have a lot to shout about so they are in a great position as they compete for the best places.
Elsewhere, we have a good number of students looking towards Higher Level apprenticeships and they are working to differing deadlines to ensure their applications stand out.
Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We have some exceptional students this year and though it is a busy time, it is also an exciting time. Everyone is very much looking to the future, but we are maintaining a focus on the here-and-now as it is the classes of today that Weill determine the steps taken tomorrow.”
