The new GCSE grading system will not be straight-forward to parents who will have been brought up on the A*-G system so before the KS3 Reports come out we want to remind parents how they all match up.
The following chart gives you an idea how things match up and it is worth knowing that all of the vocational courses we run are OFQUAL approved which means they are recognised as high-value qualifications for universities, apprenticeships or jobs:

All GCSE courses are on the 9-1 measurement and in Year 7-9 ICT, DT, Drama and Sport will be graded on the vocational measurements.
Oli Forster, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are working hard to ensure that every student is clear on what they are working for and understand the importance of getting every grade in every subject. Out Year 7-9 curriculum very much builds towards the Year 1 exams so the grades give a clear direction of the pathway students are on for their final exams.”
