Each year we hold our Friary PTFA Christmas Raffle in order to raise vital funds for our school. With the potential to raise up to £10,000 the raffle is an important fundraising event for us.
This year we have had a wide range of prize donations from a variety of businesses as well as through parental contacts. We would like to say thank you to all of our contributors.
Please sell your tickets knowing that you will be supporting your child and our school. The deadline for returns in Tuesday 18th December 2018 and the draw will take place at 12.00pm on Wednesday 19th December. All prize winners will be contacted by telephone.
Throughout the academic year a dedicated group of parents and staff work together to put on a range of events such as the show bars, Quiz Night, wine tasting evenings, restaurant nights and our very own Oktoberfest! All of this hard work enables us to raise money that we can make sure we spend directly on our students.
Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher said: “In recent years we have funded refurbishments of the canteen and library as well as fund events like the ‘Summer Sizzler’, our own festival to showcase musical talent. In addition to this the money raised can help to fund the fantastic rewards we give our students for all their hard work. This year we will be buying a minibus to replace one that has recently been put into retirement. Every penny really does help.”
