Lichfield Foodbank has issued high praise to Friary students for their collections as part of our World Food Day Focus Week which saw donations for the Foodbank brought in from students and staff across the school.
The amount raised was the equivalent of 880 full meals and the Foodbank team said that “your donations make a big difference to helping local people in crisis.”
Oli Forster, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The Foodbank donations were only part of a hectic week but we are thrilled that our school has made such a difference. We prioritise supporting charities and organisations in our local community, rather than the national TV campaigns, and are always delighted when we know it is people who share our city centre and residential streets who benefit from our donations.”
