Recent netball matches have seen plenty of success, and when the odd defeat has cropped up it has been after a strong performance, so the junior teams matches against Cannock Chase High School suggest the year groups are looking strong as they run through the school.
The Year 9 netball team defeated Cannock Chase High School in what was an impressive team performance. Lily Leadbeater (GK) won the opposition’s best player award but Rebekah Alvarado and Lydia Bedlow combined superbly as GS and GA to score ten goals between them. Late selections Sophie Freeman and Maddy Pavier-Grant stepped in and performed very well.
Elsewhere, the Year 8 team were defeated by a very strong outfit, with Elli Delaney being nominated as best player by the opposition. There is still work to do with the team, which was missing a couple of key players, but overall they played well.
